This is one of the most complete sewing guides I have ever seen. While many sewing guides either cover pattern alterations, seam choices, fabric options and care, or garment construction, this book covers all of the above. Not only that, but it gives concise but detailed explanations of all the topics covered. It is extremely easy to read, and has easy-to-follow tips and instructions. Overall, I would highly recommend this book to any sewist. For the learner, it is simple to grasp concepts, and is a great resource for those already familiar with garment sewing.
